Our Class Novel

Room 14 are reading a novel called 'Cloud Busting' by Malorie Blackman. It is about a boy called Davey who is new at school. He is different. Sam does not like Davey but then changes his mind. It is about bullying. The whole book is written in poems.

Here are some comments from the children in Room 14.

"Cloud Busting was full of poems. I liked our class novel because it was magnificent. I thought Cloud Busting was amazing because it reminded me of Alex being mean to Davey and this sometimes happens at school."

"Cloud Busting was amazing and interesting. It was about 3 boys called Sam, Davey and Alex. Sam and Davey were ex friends.  Davey told Sam that he had an allergy, he can't eat peanuts. Sam forgot everything that Davey said and he told Alex about his allergy. So Alex gave Davey a peanut sandwich. It was nasty.  Davey had an allergic reaction and couldn't breathe and came out in a rash. Mr Mackey, the teacher, came with an epi pen and put in on Davéy's thigh. The ambulance was called. When it came, he was all right. Sam felt guilty."
